Nycomed in Belgium was originally developed from two pharmaceutical companies – N.V. Christiaens established in 1835, and N.V. Sanders Probel, founded in 1910.

The company joined Nycomed in 1992 and has developed strongly, making Belgium a major Nycomed market.

In 2007, the Altana Group joined Nycomed so that its market position has gained considerable new strength on the Belgian market.

A broad portfolio of products is provided for hospital specialists, general practitioners and pharmacists.

Nycomed, which is situated in Brussels has offices and production facilities on the same site.
